Travis Kelce, Xavier Worthy Excite NFL Fans as Mahomes, Chiefs Top Harbaugh, Chargers | Bleacher Report
However, the Chiefs managed to survive and pull out a 17-10 win on the road to improve to 4-0. Samaje Perine scored the go-ahead touchdown with 6:04 left in the fourth quarter.
Kansas City star tight end Travis Kelce returned to form with season-highs of seven catches for 89 yards to lead the team. He became the franchise's all-time leader for career receptions in Sunday's win, passing Hall of Fame tight end Tony Gonzalez.

24. Chiefs QB Patrick Mahomes continues doing things we've never seen, including the longest completion – by air yards traveled, per Next Gen Stats – of his eight-year career in Sunday's victory.
25. Mahomes is now 13-12 in games in which Kansas City trailed by double digits, the only quarterback in the Super Bowl era above .500 given such circumstances, per @FrontOfficeNFL.

B- Chiefs
With the Chiefs offense struggling for most of the game, Kansas City needed a big game from its defense and that's exactly what it get. Not only was the Chargers vaunted rushing attack held to just 55 yards, but the Chiefs also held Justin Herbert to less than 180 yards through the air. Although the offense struggled for a good chunk of the game, the Chiefs got a surprising performance from Kareem Hunt, who averaged 4.9 yards per carry in his first action for Kansas City since 2018. Travis Kelce also showed that he still has a pulse with seven catches for 89 yards. If the Chiefs proved one thing Sunday, it's that they don't always have to beat you in a shootout, they can also win defensive slugfests like the won they just played in L.A.
Harbaugh: Chargers OL needs to get Herbert more time on throws | ESPN
"We've got to get Justin another half-second, second, we really do," he said. "I mean, he's trying to get the ball out as fast as he possibly can, and he is. And like I said, some of those throws that he made, I mean I don't have the adjective for it. It's warrior-like; it's everything within his human power, and then some, is the way I look at it. It's incredible what he can do. We do need to get him more [time], just another second."
Herbert came into Sunday's game nursing a high right ankle sprain; he wore a brace and had heavy medical taping on his right foot. Along with the ankle injury, Herbert was playing behind a patchwork offensive line that was missing two of its best players in tackles Rashawn Slater (pectoral) and Joe Alt (MCL sprain).
NFL Week 4 Recap: Immediate fantasy football takeaways from Sunday's games | PFF
In the second quarter, Hunt completely took over Steele's role, as Steele did not play a single snap in the quarter. The Chiefs offense generally played better, and Hunt looked solid with five yards per carry. The Chiefs only had one drive in the third quarter, where Hunt played four snaps to Steele's two. In the fourth quarter, the team largely stuck with Hunt, who ran eight times in the quarter while Steele didn't run at all.
This generally looks like good news for Hunt, but it's impossible to know how the backfield split would have looked had Steele not lost a fumble early on. It's certainly possible we see Hunt start next week, but it's also possible this situation will remain fluid on early downs in the short term. The only thing we can be confident of is that Perine is the third-down back.
Around the NFLSunday Night Football: Derrick Henry runs for 199, Ravens beat Bills 35-10 | NBC Sports
Baltimore jumped out to a 21-3 lead in the first half. Though things got tighter in the third quarter as Buffalo started to mount a comeback, that changed quickly as the Ravens struck back and outscored the opposition 14-0 the rest of the way.
Running back Derrick Henry led a wildly successful ground attack that got going from Baltimore's first offensive snap. Henry took a handoff 87 yards for a touchdown to give the Ravens a 7-0 lead on the longest run in franchise history.
Fred Warner sparks 49ers' win but adds to extensive injury list | ESPN
With the Niners clinging to an early six-point lead, linebacker Fred Warner made a highlight-reel interception, rose to his feet and raced 45 yards for a touchdown. The pick-6 all but put the New England Patriots away as the Niners cruised to a 30-13 victory that wiped away the bitter taste of consecutive losses to the Minnesota Vikings and Los Angeles Rams.
"He jumped like 10 feet in the air," cornerback Deommodore Lenoir said. "That was crazy. ... Fred Warner for DPOY."
While Warner's play was the jump-start the Niners needed to get back to 2-2 on the season with key NFC West divisional games against the Arizona Cardinals and at the Seattle Seahawks in the next two weeks, it also didn't come without a cost. For a banged-up 49ers team, nothing much does these days.
Biggest Winners, Losers From 2024 NFL Week 4 | The 33rd Team
Loser: Nick Sirianni, Eagles
There is no doubt that the Philadelphia Eagles were short-handed on offense today. They were without their top receivers (A.J. Brown and DeVonta Smith) and their star right tackle (Lane Johnson). However, the Eagles weren't competitive against the Buccaneers, and this game was eerily similar to the playoff outcome last year.
The Eagles allowed 33 points on defense as Mayfield threw for 347 yards and two touchdowns. Tampa Bay racked up 445 yards of offense, including 24 points in the first half. At one point, the Buccaneers had outgained the Eagles 174-0 in terms of yardage. Nick Sirianni's team looked completely flat, and the offense was unable to design any chunk plays in the passing game.
Philadelphia has now lost eight of its last 11 games under Sirianni, and this was the third week in a row where the offense struggled to score. Jalen Hurts looks worse than ever, and no one on the roster is playing with any confidence. The Eagles are on bye in Week 5, and it is desperately needed.
They look broken, and it doesn't appear their coach has any answers.

Relying on Kelce
Despite multiple headlines throughout the week about Travis Kelce, the 34-year-old tight end showed that he can still be the go-to guy in the Chiefs offense. Kelce finished the game with seven catches for 89 yards and came up big for the Chiefs on multiple must-win downs.
Kelce was able to shoulder the load against a battered Chargers secondary, and if the team wants to continue its success, he must continue to step up in these big moments. The slow start to the season appears to be shaken off, but Kelce has to continue to play at this level for the offense to sustain success.
